Simple Lamb Shank Recipe

Ingredients

  • Pure South Lamb Shank, 4 Shanks (order yours here!)
  • Chopped garlic
  • 1 Can of chopped tomatoes in juice
  • 250ml beef stock
  • Seasonings: sugar, salt, black pepper
  • Optional: Oregano


Directions

  1. Place 4 fore shanks in a large ovenproof casserole
  2. Add plenty of chopped garlic
  3.  Add a can of chopped tomatoes in juice
  4. Add 250 ml of beef stock and a teaspoon of sugar.
  5. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Also nice with a large sprig of oregano.
  6. Place in a preheated 180 deg C oven for 3 hours or until the meat is falling off the bones.
  7. Remove from the oven, skim off any excess fat and serve. Great with potato and rice!
